Matthew Calbraith Perry (1794-1858)

Commodore Matthew C. Perry, Commander of the U.S. East India Squadron

He married Jane, daughter of John Slidell, a prominent banker and merchant, and sister of Senator John Slidell. They had ten children of whom seven (listed) survived infancy.
