Mrs Mary Jane (Hannon) Holt
She was the daughter of John Hannon, of Prumplestown House, Castledermot, Co. Kildare, proprietor of the Prumplestown Mills. After her husband's premature death, she was plunged into poverty and moved to Portarlington where she found work as a housekeeper while her two sons were taken into the household of her brother, Henry, who educated them.
