Mary (Eddy) Hosack (d.1824)

Mrs Mary (Eddy) Hosack

She was the daughter of James and Mary (Darragh) Eddy, and was said to have been adopted by one Caspar Wistar. She was the sister of Thomas Eddy (1758-1827), one of the Founders of the New York Savings Bank. In 1797, she married the celebrated Dr David Hosack. They had nine children of whom seven survived to adulthood.
