Mrs Mary (Brydie) Dow, of Strathearn House, 9 Beaver Hall Square, Montreal

She and her four daughters were heirs to her brother-in-law, William Dow. They moved into Strathearn House (see images) after his death and shared his £300,000 fortune between them.
