Maj. Henry Wortley Brevoort (1831-1910)

of New York City & Nice, Côte d'Azur, France; died unmarried

He was always known Major Henry W. Brevoort. He served with the New York Volunteers in the Civil War as Assistant Adjutant-General. He lived at 88 Fourth Avenue, New York, but went abroad on Lester Fenix' yacht Interpreter in 1888 and never came back. He was unmarried and died at Nice in the south of France.
