Lilian Guest (Smith) Cape (b.c.1885)

She was born and brought up in Ontario, the natural daughter of Charles Albert Smith, of St. Catherine's, and his wife Elizabeth Honour Guest, of Bristol, England. After both her parents died she was adopted and brought up by her otherwise childless aunt, Mrs George Ross Marler, of Montreal. She married Lt.-Col. E.G.M. Cape, of "The Ledges" on Redpath Crescent, Montreal, and they had four children.
