Mrs. Laura (Rockefeller) Case, Chasin; Conservationist, of Watertown, Massachusetts

She was a fourth-generation member of the Rockefeller family and an innovative social activist, described as a "radical centrist thinker" who founded the Public Conversations Project in Watertown, Massachusetts - a non-profit organization that fosters constructive conversations about divisive public issues. She grew up in Manhattan and graduated from from Bryn Mawr College (B.A.), Harvard (M.A.), and Simmons College (M.S.W). She served on numerous boards including the Children's Defense Fund and Spelman College, and her pioneering work in dialogue facilitation helped people with opposing viewpoints find common ground on contentious topics, making her a significant figure in conflict resolution and community building.
