Katherine Butler (1873-1928)

Mrs Katherine (Butler) Parle, Huey, Blackmore

She was one of the two surviving children of "Boss Butler" who was worth an estimated $5 million and she inherited $1 million after his death in 1911. In 1897, she married her first husband, John J. Parle (1868-1902), a wealthy stockbroker. After he died, in 1906 she married her second husband, H.T. Huey, of Fort Worth, Texas, another wealthy man who had been friends with the Butler family for 20-years. Their marriage was held at the Butler mansion, 3501 Pine Street in St. Louis. He died in 1911, and Katherine was then married for a third time to Leslie Joseph Blackmore (1876-1961), a furniture salesman she met in a department store.
