Joseph Morgan III (1780-1847)
Joseph Morgan Jr., of Hartford Connecticut
He was born at Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1817, he moved to Hartford, Connecticut, and bought the Exchange Coffee House where the town's financial deals were made. He was a co-founder and director of a fire insurance company and in 1829 leased the City Hotel before retiring from business in 1835.
