Joseph Lee (1744-1831)
Ship's Captain & Merchant of Cabot & Lee, of Boston, Beverly & Salem
He was born at Salem, Massachusetts. He was a ship's captain and after his first marriage a merchant in the firm of Cabot & Lee (in partnership with his wife's family), trading with the with the West Indies and Spain. In 1769, he married Elizabeth, daughter of Joseph Cabot, and had twelve children. After she died, in 1793 he married the also widowed Mrs Deborah (Higginson) Cabot.
