Joseph Hallett (1731-1799)
Joseph Hallett III, of Newtown, New York; Member of the Provincial Congress
He lived at Newtown on Long Island, New York. He married Elizabeth Hazard and they were the parents of six daughters: (1) Lydia, twin, married Frederick Joseph Horlitz (2) Elizabeth, twin, married a Mr Gault (3) Ann, married Major John Delafield and lived at Sunswick (4) Catherine, married William Payne whose sister, Mrs Gore, lived at Gore Place (5) Sarah, presumed to have died unmarried (6) Maria, married Colonel Tallmadge.
