Jonathan Sewall (1692-1731)

of Boston, Merchant and Coroner for Suffolk County, Massachusetts

He was a brother of Chief Justice Stephen Sewall and they were nephews of Judge Samuel Sewall who was among those who presided over the Salem Witch Trials. Jonathan was the grandfather of Jonathan Sewell, Chief Justice of Lower Canada.
