Jonathan Prescott Hall (1796-1862)

J. Prescott Hall, of "Malbone" Newport; U.S. District Attorney for South New York

He hired (1849) Alexander Jackson Davis to design a Gothic-Revival
mansion "Malbone Farm" directly on the ruins of Godfrey Malbone’s estate in Newport (see images). He married Harriette, daughter of the reviled slave trader Captain Jim DeWolf. They died without children.
