John Rhea Barton, of Philadelphia; Orthopedic Surgeon
His widow endowed "The John Rhea Barton Professorship of Surgery" at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine - the first endowed chair in surgery in the United States. They were the parents of just one daughter.
