John La Farge (1835-1910)

Artist & Interior Designer celebrated for Stained Glass Windows and Murals

He was introduced to Thomas Sergeant Perry by Henry James and in 1860 he married Perry's sister, Margaret, daughter of Christopher Grant Perry. She was the granddaughter of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, and a great-great-granddaughter of U.S. Founding Father Benjamin Franklin. They had eight children of whom seven (listed) lived to adulthood.
