John Henry Livingston (1848-1927)
John H. Livingston, of "Clermont Manor" Columbia County, New York
He initially pursued a legal career in New York City, but on marrying his second wife in 1880 he moved up to his ancestral home, Clermont Manor, and became a gentleman farmer. In the early 1920s he lived with his family in Europe for five years on a "cultural stay-cation". He was married three times. He had one daughter by his first marriage and two by his third.
