Dr. John Harvey Kellogg (1852-1943)

Seventh-Day Adventist; Surgeon & Health Pioneer, of Battle Creek, Michigan

He was the brother of the inventor of cornflakes, W.K. Kellogg. He was a Seventh-Day Adventist and in 1879 he married Ella Eaton but believing that it was healthy to abstain from sex they did not have any biological children. However, they were foster parents to 42-children, legally adopting eight before Ella died in 1920.
