John Fife Symington (1910-2007)

J. Fife Symington, Jr., Airline Executive & U.S. Ambassador to Trinidad & Tobago

His mother's family financed Pan-American Airlines, for whom he would work. He married a granddaughter of Henry Clay Frick and from Baltimore he ran unsuccessfully as a Republican for Congress in 1958, 1960 and 1962. As the state campaign director for Barry Goldwater, he was unable to run for Maryland's attorney seat in 1964.
