John Canfield (1740-1786)
of Litchfield; Member of the Connecticut House of Representatives
He graduated from Yale (1762) and became a lawyer at Sharon, Connecticut. He served in the state legislature for 10 sessions and was elected to the 13th Continental Congress, but died two weeks before it assembled.
