German Tin Merchant & Maker of French Horns, etc., of Broadway, New York City

His business was described in 1765: "John Balthus Dash, Tinman from Germany. At his house near the Oswego Market makes the best of French Horns… Philadelphia Buttons and Shoe Buckles, and will sell them very reasonably by wholesale or retail." By 1786, he was the owner of a tin, copper & ironmongers store at 67 Broadway.
