Johann Christoph Widener, of Philadelphia "The Immigrant"
He came to America from Württemberg in Germany. He arrived at Philadelphia in 1752 aboard the ship Phoenix having travelled from Portsmouth via Rotterdam, a common route at the time. He married and took up residence at Philadelphia before later moving further south into Virginia
