James Reynolds (1732-1818)

Lt. James Reynolds, of Wethersfield & West Haven, Connecticut

He fought in the French and Indian Wars and during the Revolution served as a Sergeant and Lieutenant under Captain Thaddeus Lacy and Col. Heman Swift in the Connecticut Regiment. He was with General Wooster when he was killed at the Battle of Danbury. After the war, in the spring of 1783, he removed to West Haven where he and his family made their home.
