Jacob Aemilius Irving (1797-1856)

The Hon. Jacob Aemilius Irving II, of Drummondville, Upper Canada

He fought as a Lieutenant with the 13th Light Dragoons at the Battle of Waterloo, receiving a sabre cut to the head. After repressing the Upper Canada Rebellion, he settled in Upper Canada and became a Member for the Legislative Assembly.
