Ithiel Town (1784-1844)

Architect & Engineer, of Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut

He was a leading proponent of Greek-Revival architecture and from 1832 partnered with Alexander Jackson Davis designing, among others, the first mansion on New York's Fifth Avenue for Henry Breevort. He never married, but he did have a daughter, Etha.
