Israel Thorndike (1755-1832)

Col. Israel Thorndike, East India Merchant & State Representative of Boston

Having served as a Colonel in the Revolution, he entered into the China and East India trade with his son-in-law, Ebenezer Francis, and David Sears, as well as becoming involved in manufacturing. He settled at Boston in 1810 and served as a State Representative.
