Isaac Merritt Wright (1812-1868)

of New York City & Hempstead, L.I.; U.S. Consul at Vienna, Austria

He was part owner of the Black Ball Line that operated packet ships between Liverpool and New York up until 1878. It was co-founded by his grandfather, Isaac Wright (1760-1832), President of City National Bank, New York.
