Howard Winthrop Pillow (1883-1948)

Major Howard W. Pillow, President of the American Bank Note Co., Montreal

He was born in Montreal, becoming President of the British American Bank Note Company. He was married in 1906 and lived at 41 Rosemount Avenue, Westmount, keeping a summer house "Kingsbrae" on King Street in St. Andrews. In World War I, he fought with the 244th Canadian Expeditionary Force. His aunt, Mary Pillow, was married to the half-brother of Mrs Charles R. Hosmer who divided her time between St. Andrews and the Charles R. Hosmer House in Montreal.
