Henry Wyndham Beauclerk (1869-1937)
H. Wyndham Beauclerk, of 289 Stanley Street, Montreal
He was born at Glencraig, Co. Down, in Northern Ireland. His grandfather, Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk, lived at Ardglass Castle in the same county and was a great-grandson of Lord Sydney Beauclerk and the 3rd Duke of Marlborough. Henry was educated in England at the Merchant Taylor's School and came to Canada in 1906 in the employ of the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1911, at St. Andrews, New Brunswick, he married the Hon. Alice Josephine Shaughnessy, daughter of Lord Shaughnessy, President of the Canadian Pacific Railway. They lived in Montreal at 289 Stanley Street (purchased from Hugh Andrew Allan) and had a son and a daughter. He was a director of both the Bank of Montreal and the Brompton Pulp & Paper Company.
