Henry Gilbert Livingston (1714-1799)

Dr Henry Gilbert Livingston, of Poughkeepsie, New York

He was born at Kingston in Ulster Co., New York, and settled at Poughkeepsie (see images), where he was given a life grant of the clerkship of Dutchess County. He was an Elder and Deacon of the Poughkeepsie Dutch Reformed Church. He represented Dutchess County in the Provincial Assembly and was a Patriot during the Revolution.
