Henry Brevoort (1747-1841)

Farmer & Landowner, of New York

He was the son of Jan Heinrich Brevoort (1721-1756) and was born in the stone farmhouse on their 80-acre farm which was then outside of the City of New York. Adjoining the property of Pierre Lorillard, it extended from Bowery Lane to today's 6th Avenue, and from 9th Street in the south to 18th Street in the north. He and his wife, Sarah Whetten, had five children (listed) who lived to adulthood.
