Henry Atkinson Green (1828-1891)
Merchant of Mackintosh, Green & Co., of Boston, Massachusetts
He was born at Groton, Massachusetts, and was a nephew of the Boston philanthropists Amos and Abbott Lawrence (U.S. Minister to the Court of St. James). He was educated at the Groton School and in 1846 came to Boston where for many years he was a partner in the mercantile firm of Mackintosh, Green & Co. He lived on Newbury Street and married Emily Wagner by whom he had two children.
