Harry Manigault Morris (1817-1892)
of Morrisania & New York City; Lawyer & Trustee of the Morrisania Village Corp.
He was a lawyer in New York City and managed several large estate. He lived at Morrisania, New York, until the end of the Civil War where he was a Vestryman at St. Ann's Church and a trustee of the Morrisania Village Corporation. He was a Governor of the New York Hospital and an active member of the New York Historical and Geographical Societies. As a grandson of Col. Lewis Morris he was a Member of the New York Chapter of the Order of the Cincinnati and at the time of his death, he was the fourth most senior member of the New York Yacht Club. He married a daughter of Richard Kennedy, of Kentucky, Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, but died without children.
