Harry Elkins Widener (1885-1912)

Harry Widener, died aboard the RMS Titanic

He and his father, George Sr., were killed during the sinking of the RMS Titanic. His collection of 3,000 rare books that were kept at Lynnewood Hall form the basis of the Harry Elkins Widener Memorial Library at Harvard University, commissioned by his mother and completed by the family's preferred architect, Horace Trumbauer. Harry was not married.
