Giraud Van Nest Foster (1904-1980)
of "Swingalong Plantation" Louisiana & "Feliciana" Northeast Harbor, Maine
He was born in New York and educated at Groton School and Harvard. He worked in the cattle and timber business but by the time his daughter was married in 1972 he was described as, "of Manchester, Vermont, a sportsman active in fishing and shooting." He was married three times and had two children.
