George William Merritt (1856-1907)
George W. Merritt, of New York & Newport, Rhode Island
He grew up at Lyndhurst in Irvington-on-Hudson, New York. He was married three times and was separated from his third wife, Alma, when he took his own life at he Fifth Avenue Hotel, New York City.
