George Robertson Hooper (1862-1926)
Major George R. Hooper, Vice-President of William Dow, Brewers, Montreal
He was born at Montreal and was educated at Bishop's College School, Lennoxville, and the Royal Military College, Kingston. He was Vice-President of William Dow & Co., Brewers; Vice-President of National Breweries Ltd.; Vice-President of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; and, Vice-President of the Parks & Playgrounds Association of Montreal. In 1894, he married Margaret Aitken Hope, only daughter of John Hope, of John Hope & Co., Wine & Spirit Importers.
