George Richards Minot (1758-1802)

Chief Justice at Boston & Co-Founder of the Massachusetts Historical Society

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He served as Secretary of the Convention that adopted the U.S. Constitution, Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas (1799), and Judge of the Municipal Court of Boston on its establishment in 1800, holding that position until his death. He co-founder the Massachusetts Historical Society and authored "The History of the Insurrections in Massachusetts". He had 2-children.
