George Campbell MacDougall (1843-1892)

G. Campbell MacDougall, Chairman of the Montreal Stock Exchange

He was born in Devon, England. He came with his family to Montreal at age-12 and took up residence with his half-brother, Lorn, at Outremont. He continued his education at the High School of Montreal and apparently McGill University, winning several trophies at horse shows in New York. Through Lorn's influence, he went into stockbroking with his brother, St. Clair MacDougall, founding MacDougall Brothers.
