George Augustine Washington (1763-1793)

of Caroline Street, Fredericksburg; Manager of Mount Vernon, Virginia

He served as a clerk to his famous uncle, George Washington. In 1787, his father gave him a house on Caroline Street in Fredericksburg. In 1785, he had taken over the management of Mount Vernon and became like a son to his uncle. He married Frances, daughter of Burwell Bassett of Eltham and they had at least 4-children.
