Gen. William Handy Ludlow (1821-1890)

Major-General in the Union Army & Speaker of the New York Assembly

He lived at "Oakville Farm" which he sold in 1889 to Frederick Gilbert Bourne who built Indian Neck Hall in its place. After the Civil War, he was President of the Tontine Life Insurance Company of New York.
