Gabriel de Gramont (1908-1943)
Gabriel Antoine Armand de Gramont, Comte de Gramont
His mother was one of the leaders of the aristocratic bohemian set of 1920s Paris. Gabriel was married in 1931 at Mortefontaine and the reception was held at his childhood home, Chateau de Valliere which now belonged to his elder half-brother, the 12th Duc de Gramont. He and his wife were the parents of a son who settled in the States where he became a Pulitzer prize winning writer and rejected his French aristocratic lineage by changing his name to "Ted Morgan" an anagram of "de Gramont".
