Frederic Bayard Winthrop (1868-1932)
of New York City & Massachusetts
He graduated in law from Harvard University and worked with his brother Dudley at their father's banking firm, Robert Winthrop & Company. He served as a Captain of the Red Cross during World War I and retired to Massachusetts where he was an active member of the Massachusetts Historical Society. He was married twice: (1) Dorothy Amory and (2) Sarah Barroll Thayer.
