Frederick Bristol Keeney (1858-1926)

Fred B. Keeney, of Warsaw & "Belvidere" Allegany County, New York

He was a grandson of Amos Keeney, one of the original pioneers who came to Warsaw in 1803 of whom it was said, "few settlers had a harder experience than he". Fred grew up at Warsaw and became a shipper of hay and grain to the New England states. In 1892, he married his third wife and they bought the historic Villa Belvidere, where he kept the world's largest herd of Jersey cattle.
