Franklin Hiram Walker (1853-1916)
of Detroit; President of Hiram Walker & Sons, Distillers, of Walkerville, Ontario
He was born at Beaufait House and graduated from the University of Michigan (1873) before joining the family's distillery business. In 1874, he married May Holbrook and they had just one child, a daughter who married into and was prominent in European aristocratic society. From 1897 he lived at 2730 Jefferson Avenue in Detroit that afterwards became the Michigan Mutual Hospital (see images).
