Frank Sherwood Hambleton (1855-1908)
Partner in Hambleton & Co., Investment Bankers, of Baltimore, Maryland
He was born in Baltimore and was educated at the Virginia Military Institute at Lexington. He entered the banking house of his father and uncle in 1882 as a clerk, and was admitted to partnership three years later. He was very much interested in the industrial development of the South, and through his efforts and those of his firm large sums of money have been invested in Southern railroads and municipalities. In 1884, he married to Anna Crawford of Baltimore, and they had four children.
