Col. Francis Shaw (1748-1785)
Jr., of Goldsborough, Maine
He was Captain of a Company of Militia in 1775 and in 1776 was promoted to Major of a Lincoln County Regiment. He consummated a treaty with the St. John Indians and subsequently commanded a regiment in Eastern Maine.
