Eugene Augustus Livingston (1813-1893)

Eugene A. Livingston, of New York City & "Teviot" Tivoli, Dutchess Co., New York

He grew up at Arryl House where his parents lived with his maternal grandfather, "The Chancellor". In 1843, he built his summer home "Teviot" (purchased after his death by Eugene Schieffelin) on Woods Road at Tivoli in Dutchess County, which still stands today. He was married twice. In 1841, in Philadelphia, he married his first wife and they had two children. She died in 1848 and in 1851 he was married for a second time, also in Philadelphia, and had a further five children.
