Emma (Stager) Gorton (1849-1923)

Mrs Emma Louise (Stager) Gorton, of 2120 Prairie Avenue, Chicago

Her husband was President of the Chicago Forging Company and Treasurer of the Western Edison Electric Company. They lived between 2120 South Prairie Avenue, Chicago, next door to Philip D. Armour, and kept a farm "Edgewood" at Wheaton, Illinois. She was the sister of Ellen, 4th Marchioness of Ormonde, and after her husband died she moved to Paris where her other sister (Mrs Hickox) lived although still returning frequently to visit friends in Cleveland and Chicago. They died without children.
