Eliza (Carr) Honoré (1825-1906)

Mrs "Eliza" Elizabeth Jane (Carr) Honoré

She was the daughter of Captain John and Mary (Dorsey) Carr of Oldham County, Kentucky. She was noted for her intellect and beauty and in 1846 married Henry Honoré who was one of the principal early developers of Chicago. They were survived by six children, notably Mrs Potter Palmer and Ida who married the son of President Ulysses S. Grant
