Eliza Jane Reeve (1807-1875)
Mrs Eliza Jane (Reeve) Brown
She was the daughter of Selah Reeve, one of the oldest merchants and earliest citizens of Newburgh, New York. In 1826, at Newburgh, she married then Colonel John W. Brown who was a later Justice of the New York Supreme Court and a U.S. Congressman. They were the parents of at least four children including Mrs Higginson and Mrs Elliot
